Cherry Beach with Mello

Mello was in town a few weeks ago. I took her down for a drive to Cherry Beach. We liked the big "off leash" area for dogs; it's like a big forest at the beach. We also like that the dogs can be off leash and play with other dogs or swim in the water.

We missed Emma a lot and really wished she could have been here to experience this dog paradise!

Emma Missed Us

I'll be in New York later this week, and Emma (and Mello) won't be there. Footage from my trip to Budapest.
We left Emma at home for a few hours...when we came back - look how nicely she greets us :)

It's important to read what the label says.

Dinner @ Haxen

The last supper of my 2 week long vacation was at Haxen with Mello and Evi.  Haxen has been operating since 1893 and is still going strong!

This restaurant is one of the most popular in the city and according to their website is where "all the famous artists, politicians, sportsmen, and businessmen have already been".

Navigate their site for more information:  http://www.haxen.hu/

Emma on the Streetcar

Dogs are allowed to ride on the Budapest public transit system - but they need to have a ticket like everyone else.

Emma for Hire!

Emma is quite good at moving big pieces of wood and peeling off bark.

She's also adept at mashing down cardboard, plastic bottles, and aluminum cans.
If you know of anyone looking to hire someone with Emma's skills, please leave a comment in the comment section below.

Outdoor Cooking Around Vaci Street

This is around the Vaci Street area.  Mello explains some of the food and desserts. Smells delicious. The food in Hungary was overall one of my highlights.  I always enjoy a full and delicious meal.  My only regret is that I didn't have more space to eat more. This day was very exciting to see everyone outside in the cold eating, drinking, and having a good time!

Mello, Uncut and Uncensored - Dessert

Part 2 of our night at Vakvarju.  Mello continues to be delightful and entertaining.  She also explains our Hungarian pancake dessert and takes pleasure (again) in poking fun at me.  I had a great time!

Mello, Uncut & Uncensored - Dinner

Mello is my most fun and entertaining subject to interview.
This is Part 1.  This night we dined at "Vakvarju".  Dogs were allowed to dine inside the restaurant, so Emma accompanied us.  She was a very well behaved girl all throughout the dinner.

Happy New Year, 2009!

Happy New Year, live from the woods in Hungary!

Taking the dogs out for a walk on the first day of the year.  A beautiful day.

High Class NY Dog

You would never know it, but Emma actually did live in New York for most of her life.

Halloween Drive in Forest Hill

Mello and I go for a spooky Halloween drive in the Forest Hill area of Toronto late at night. Rich houses that are rich with Halloween decorations. Music is "Miss Black" by Ladytron.

7am, Saturday morning, Central Park

Saturday mornings are a big day in Central Park for dogs.

From 7am-9am there are dogs everywhere roaming around off-leash running around and playing with each other.
Emma and her friends meet every Saturday morning for a play session.

Music in video is "Side Long Harem" by Roby J.C. Sound
